The Camelbak Motherlode Light UK version is design and made by Camelbak from Ministry of defense ideas and suggestions. It has the same material as the Motherlode 500 but some of its features are reduced to make this assault bag lighter . It has a smaller belt around waist that can be removed . The internal sections  have been made smaller or removed. All the internal compartments have been reduced down or taken out to save weight and improve design.

This makes this camelbak motherlode one of the lightest version available.This camelbak motherlode has been re-designed to be suitable for day pack and patrol use. It now has an updated.Air Director Back Panel, 500 Denier Cordura and strengthened webbing.The waist belt has been removed and this will reduce the number of buckles and hanging straps that will snag. This now makes it easier for road and air travel.By adjusting the shoulder straps, the motherlode is designed to wear over body amour, including the Osprey armour.The new lumbar area region will give the back increased support and also maximizes airflow to reduce body heat.
